How to use it
Directions
Mealworms are a treat and a supplement rather than a complete diet. The guide below is the one printed on our hamster brochure.

For hamsters: 2–5 mealworms
Offer 2 to 5 mealworms, 2 to 3 times per week, as a treat or supplement to your hamster's regular diet.

For poultry and birds: scatter feed
Scatter a small handful over the regular ration or on the ground to encourage natural foraging.

For fish, turtles and reptiles
Offer dry, or soak briefly in warm water first for animals that prefer softened food.

Reseal the jar
Close the lid firmly after each use and store somewhere cool and dry, out of direct sunlight.
Adjust according to the size, age and activity level of your pet. Give your animals the natural nutrition they need for a long, healthy and happy life.

How many mealworms should I give my hamster?
2 to 5 mealworms, 2 to 3 times per week, as a treat or supplement alongside their regular diet. Adjust according to the size, age and activity level of your pet.
Can I feed these to my chickens?
Yes. Mealworms are a well-established supplement for poultry and support growth and egg production. Scatter a small handful over the regular feed rather than replacing it.
Should I soak them first?
Not necessarily. Most animals take them dry. Soaking briefly in warm water softens them, which some fish, turtles and younger animals prefer.
How big is the jar?
1200 ml. Mealworms are very light for their volume, so the jar holds a large number of them and lasts a long time when used as a treat.
Is there anything else in the jar?
